Past vs. Present was initiated in 2008 to provide a platform for current and ex-Hwa Chong students to meet, interact and possibly share their intellectual, social and cultural experiences. In 2009, the newly formed Hwa Chong Alumni Youth Chapter took over the organization and management of this event and made it an annual affair.

As Hwa Chong leaps forward into the future, it is more important than ever for the school to have a strong and vibrant alumni association to ensure her continued educational achievements and legacy. The Youth Chapter aims to inspire Hwa Chongians to contribute to their alma mater through pioneering alumni activities.
